My positive story

This is my positive story. we made this for the end of the year, to see what we have been doing for the whole year how we have achieved many things in our learning, and what we have inproved this year.

2 favourite things I did on Camp

The most favorite thing I did was go Go-karting, it was really fun because there were some certain corners you could do a drift on, Me, Winston and Raff all span out on each of those corners, Raff had span out the most because he almost did a full 180. 

 The second most favorite thing I did was paintball, it was really fun because there is a trench that each base could go in, there were two teams Blue and black, I was in the blue team all thought the black team had cheated I think my team had played fair.

Maori language week

 Today for Maori language week me and my buddy Kane had to make an avatar with a speech bubble we had to ask how are you in Maori. First, we made some avatars on the avatar maker, we then downloaded it to drive and copy it into a slide. Second, we get some speech bubbles and write"How are you" in Maori and then your buddy had to say "I'm good" in Maori.

Museum trip

Hi, everyone today me and my classroom went to the Tairawhiti Museum. We went there to learn about the Maori instruments from back in the days, we even got to have a turn with one of the Maori instruments it was called Putatara, we also were able to make our own Maori instrument and they were called Purerehua.  

This is a photo of one of the hues, this is no ordinary hue because if you look very closely it has been carved so it is very special to the Maori people and the Maori culture. 

Can cars run on veggie oil?

I read a story about a car that did not need gas and it could run on biofuel ( veggie oil ). First we answered pre reading questions, and then we read half of the story and answered some questions during the story. Next we read the rest of the story and answered the last few questions. Now I have finished all my questions

 

Giuseppe Arcimboldo fruit art

This is a photo of my literacy art with koka Maddie. We had to do a biography of Giuseppe Arcimboldo. He was a amazing painter he would use Fruit, Fish and leaves as his art. We were told to make a face out of vegetables and fruits. Then koka Maddie told us we were going to make an art of what we made. This is what my group had made and the other photo is Giuseppe Arcimboldo's famous painting.

Cedenco taste testers

Today my class and Tane Mahuta went to Cedenco. This morning our classes went to Cedenco when we had arrived at cedenco a lady called carla came to show us around we split up into three groups to make it easier.

First Carla had showed us the first part of the factor I forgot what it was called but it was really big. After Carla had finished talking we went upstairs and there were some windows there were some on the left and some on the right. On the right side of the windows there was a big storage room that had heaps of stuff in there. After we had finished with Carla we went to the QC lab there was another lady and her name was kate. In the QC lab there were alot of powders in different type of bowls. The powders were called Pumpkin powder, Tomato powder the stuff you sprinkle on to shapes and pees powder.

When we had finished with Kati Carla had came back to show us where to go next. Then another lady came to take us with her to a little office and in the office was some food for us to try. First she showed us a presentation of how Cedenco was first made and how Cedenco was brought up by to brothers and was owned by japan. When the presentation had finished she had set up some food for us to eat. There was shapes, kiwi fruit juice and muffins but we took the muffins when we had left.

Sewing

When we went to the museum we did sewing. We were supposed to just make them for fun but then we ended up making them for easter.

When we left the museum we went to watch the ballerina but i'm not gonna talk about that.

When we got back to school it was home time but the next day I had finished it and it turned out to look like this. Today we made some chocolates inside them to give to our parents.

Museum

On Tuesday my class went to the museum to learn Maori culture. first we went in cars i went with Lisa jacks mum. In my car was Me, Raff, Kane, Tom, Jack and Daniel. when we got to the museum we were aloud to have a little snack before we went into the museum. When we got into the museum there was a lady she had introduce herself to us she said we could call her koka T. Koka T was talking about now in gisborne and about the past. As you can see the photo on the right is gisborne now and the photo on the left is the past of gisborne.
